I have a few questions on this.

1) Does the employer letter also require to include salary details? The UCIS page does not say anthing about this. Are there any sample letters out there that I can take a look at?

3) Do we get some kind of a receipt that our application was received at the visa office?

4) My visa expired in the first week of May of 2004. Am I still eligible to apply for revalidation? I recently got H1B extension approved.

5) Do I fill out one D-156 for each application? I will be applying for my wife's H4 and my H1.

H1B Revalidation

Hi Ginnu:

I know H1B cannot be sent to St.Louis for revalidation not more than 2 months before the current H1B stamp expiriing and also not after 1 year of expiring.
My current H1B expires on Oct 18, 2004 and I am expecting the new approval notice anytime.
Do I need to wait till Aug 18 2004 (before 2 months) to send for revalidation.
But as per the new rule of NO REVALIDATION SHALL BE DONE WITHIN US AFTER JULY 6, do I need go to India for revalidation.

Please help.

Thanks,
RK

----DOS will NOT do Visa stamping in US after July 6,2004, so you need to go India for Visa stamping. If you are expecting a new approval then why you want VISA STAMP, your H1 extension approval will have I-94 attached at botom and you can work with approval notice, Visa stamp is ONLY needed for entry to US. Some lawyers has advised DOS may allow Visa stamping in Mexico or Canada and they may take back the regulation that is effective at this time "if Visa rejected in Canada Mexico and you have valid I-94 you cannot enter US" they may allow you back if you have valid I-94, wait and watch the DOS update becase just for Visa stamping one has to travel out of US and it is going to be costly. particularly from India Madras. Chennai side people will be facing more problem for Visa stamp from Chennai becase many from that area submiteed Fake degree certificates and Fake EXP letters in past to get H1, now others who are honest are also facing the problem becase of these people.

Please help.

Thanks,
RK
