Visa# Question

p235

Registered Users (C)
As, I was filling out a form for my wifes college admission, there were 2 entries which I didn't know.

1. Visa Status
2. Visa Number

The first one I guess is Pending AOS, but what about the 2nd one?
Is it the A# on the 485 receipt?
(H1/H4 expired and using EAD now)

Any ideas?

Thanks

An adjustee does not require a visa, so leave it blank.

But it says on the form that, if you are not a U.S Citizen or a Permanent Resident, Please fill those fields(Visa Status & Visa Number).
Infact, it was an online application and when those two options(Citizen and Perm. Resident) were not selected, it was throwing validation alerts to fill those fields up.

Anything outside the ordinary, and you won't be able to apply online. You'll have to go in person or use snail mail with an explanation letter.

Other places will ask for an I-94, not understanding that an adjustee doesn't need an I-94 and that it's legitimate to have one that's expired (as long as the I-485 was filed before it expired, of course).
