Visa Numbers Unavailable??

Hi all , My 485 is been pending from 2 and half years(May/2003) and I just got my 3rd EAD. I am not sure how long I need to wait to receive the approved 485. I initiated an enquiry and I received a letter from USCIS saying "You case is pending because there is no approved VISA’s available" . Can somebody explain what is this means for the folks working on EAD’s. Also is there any tracking to see Visa's availability?

It is a "New Topee (New Cap)", the USCIS is putting on the heads of inquirers. BTW whats your PD & country?

Visa number availability depends on your country and PD.
Check here for the latest visa bulletin.

Look at the visa bulletin link provided. If your priority date is before the cutoff date for EB3 India, a visa is not available for you.

You surely meant to say :
"....If your priority date is after the cutoff date ....." :) :)

To the OP:
For EB3 India (am assuming EB3 here), cutoff date is Jan 1998 -- your PD is Oct 2002 and right now its about 4+ years backlogged. Hopefully things should move soon - sadly, lots of folks (like yourself) are waiting in this state.

Dude, you are completely wrong. He actually meant: "...a visa is available for you."
