Visa Number ???

Hi all
My priority date is June 14,2004 and filed I-485 in July 07
I received my EAD and FP done on Oct 10,2007
How do i know that i have been assigned Visa Number?
What is A # ???Is is the Visa Number??
How do i check my FP and Name Check status?
Any input help will be greatly appreciated.

What you mean by Case number approved??
Sorry for my ignorance but i am very new to all these legal terms

Eb-3 world, PD 12/2003, filled I-485 6/2007, FP done 8/2007, EAD and AP received.
Should I try to contact them (phone/infopass) since the PD is right now 8/2002 again, and the dates for 485 (EB-3) posted by TX center are 8/2006??
Or I should wait untill at least one of the dates "works" in favor of me? Does visa bulletin mean something for people like us (who filled when fiasco happend)? I'm new to this, so I'm still confused.
And one more thing, can someone explain RD, ND, RFE, AD ......

ND-Notice Date
RFE-Required Further Evidence
AD-Aprroval Date

Visa bulletin means everything as far as your green card is concern. Chances of getting green card approved is all depends on VISA BULLENTIN Dates. Right now Priorty date is 08/2002 for rest of the world. So you should wait until your dates becomes current and you should start inquiring about your case. If you get your green card before the dates become current than consider yourself one of the luckly one.
 
That is the right attitude to get you through all this. Another one is not to care about it at all - although not me, some people can do it :)
