Visa number on I-485

Hello All,

My wife has a Canadian visa and she is in the US on a TN visa. She has an I-94.

I was filing out the I-485 and in part 3 processing information- question A- Were you inspected by an immigration officer- yes- What's the non immigrant visa number? Is this her I-94 number?

She has no non-immigrant visa, so the correct answer is N/A.

No - unless they are entering in E or K status, Canadian citizens do not require a visa stamp. Entering in TN status does not require a consular interview.

Thanks a lot guys. I will enter N/A. The only paper in her passport is her I-94 which says TN visa, but there is no number. Since I am going to enter N/A in the visa number, should I enter N/A under date the visa was issued and consulate who issued the visa in the same section of I-485? or should I enter her last date of entry mentioned on her I-94 as the date visa was issued?

Yes. They will figure out the information they need from the I-94 number and her Canadian passport number.
