Visa for Dependent child

We have a peculiar problem, please help me
i have applied for visa revalidation during the november 2003, after i send the pass ports to SL due to change in job description and change in salary my employer has filed amended H1b petetion.
prior to this i have send the approved H1B petetion to india, for Dependent Child stamping.
the child have received 221 ( g ) for the personal appearance of both the parents.
my doubt is, except personal apperance no documentation/information asked in 221 (g) letter.
i am a bit confused, why they ask for the personal apperance and interview of the both parents.
has any body heard of cancellation of stamped visa, in chennai consulate because u have not paid for some months while u r in H1B.
please help me

hmm why did they asked to come personaly ..
So you send your H4 dependent kid papers via courier or what
there are some rules to send kid papers
If both parents are in india physicaly then you can send kid papers via courier
other wise any one of the parent can accompany kid and take a appointment with consulate and do a personal interview ..
so in the above which one you did ???

Kid was already stamped for H1b, but it was expired on Oct 1,2003. As per the Drop box rules, if the person is already stamped and not changing the catogory of the visa, then the person can use the drop box facility. Under that assumption we have sent the papers trhough drop box.
and second thing is will stamped H1 B visa be cancelled because the person is on bench for some time, and not paid

your KID had H1B visa? when did your KID compleated the degree? does it mean your KID was working on H1B in US?

If salary was paid less than LCA than consulate can investigate the case and Chennai can also investigate the degree or educational documents as most of the H1b cases were filed by fake documents in Chennai and they may also investigate your papers and your KID papers as you wrote your KID had H1b visa earlier. What is going on in Chennai? Kids are getting H1b?
I have read that kids only get H4 visa stamp if they are dependent of H1b visa holder

I am sorry , he is not stamped for H1B, was stamped for H4 , he is 5 years old

If no docs. are mentioned take all the possible you can think of.

That's what I did in 03/03 at Mumbai. I had 2 H1s on the PP already. Still asked for PAR.

No idea on the bench stuff. No experience in that area. Only thing I can confirm that most likely US consulate will cancel the old (expired) visas with a "Cancelled without prejudice" stamp.
