Visa Category of your petition has changed

I received a postal mail saying that the 'Visa Category of your petition has changed visas in the new catergory are not available fromthe Dept of State'

Any ideas????

That probably means that in the old category your priority date was current, but in the new one your priority date is not.

Wait a minute! You have an approved I140. They can't change your visa category at this time.

I140 approved

My I140 has been approved long ago.

I took an InfoPass appointment and the officer did not have any clue about the letter.She told me to check the internet.
I told her that I already did, but she said that she does not know of any such thing as 'visa category change'!.

Should I go for WOM?
