Very early this month. Good bump for AF (I had expected about 7K increase). Nice bump for AS region also. Much more in line with what I expected to have happened last year. Some very happy ROA-ers

Also nice for SA to go current.

I suspect that Nepal may now be at its max number.

Happy for Africa in particular. Though I have missed out on dv2017 am glad for the huge jump. And yes it's quite an early release. Hoping against hope for DV 2018.
 
The numbers, are these the amount of people that applied for DV-2017 or what? And what does "current" mean in this sense.

These are from the latest VB which is concerning DV2016.

Current is shown in the VB when USCIS/KCC believe there are enough remaining visa slots to handle remaining demand for that region.
