This doesn't sound right

Called SESA just now and they said they are processing Sep 19th right now and they will be starting Oct after 1st Jan. So there is some discrepancy in the information that you got earlier.

UPDATE

Just spoke to my good friend Mr. Richard Hass . Here are some statistics which he gave me:

RIR Currently Processing Sept 20.
Non RIR Currently Processing Apr 26.

Month No of Apps (RIR + Non RIR)
Oct'01 587
Nov'01 584
Jan'02 498
Feb'02 580

As per him 80-90% of them should RIR Apps.
Currently 3 people are working on RIR Apps.
 
Question about employer merger

I have been waiting for my LC approval for more than a year now and and it's still pending in state level, and my employer is going for a merger. It's acquired by another company and will not keep its onw name. Do I need to restart LC from beginning or just file for amending?

Did this Haas guy have anything to say on the statistic reported by kapireddy - the 1000 cases received on Sept 20th, and that day therefore taking a couple weeks to process? Or is that information some kind of an anomaly?

Let's keep our fingers crossed, I guess. Philly DOL is also slowing down - it seems to be averaging about 100 days for that stage give or take, at this time, up from as low as 5-6 days at the beginning of the year

My employer merely changed names a couple months ago (no acquisition or anything), and our immigration department found from the lawyers that since we were not changing Tax IDs, I did not have to refile. So apparently it's not the actual name, per se, but the status of the organization with the IRS that determines whether or not refiling is required by the INS.

I am in the same boat as you. My company was bought out by Northrop Grumman, and we lost our original name. We did not have to re-start the LC process.

Can anybody has update from Richmond office ( Mr Garnett Blair). 674 - 3714. I was trying to reach him, but nobody is picking up the phone. I am new to this forum. My receipt date was Sep24th. I don't think they processed mine yet.

Guys,

Do have a discrepancy here.
slow_lc has posted a message Sept 27 as the RIR date
Caps has posted Sept 5.

Which one is correct ???
Caps...What is meant by RIchmond cases..

Could anyone clarify ?????
 
This is only my understanding

For the Viginia state labor , they have different offices in Richmond. One office ( 236- 2717) deals with cases filed from Northern Virginia and the other office 674 - 3719 ( Mr Garnett Blair) deals with cases filed from Richmond, ( I don't know they may have more offices than these two specified here).

In one office , they are processing Sep5th, in another one Sep27th.
This is what I get after talking to both offices.

Deficiency letter from VA SESA

Hi immigration gurus:
VA SESA representative told me that they have sent a deficiency letter to my attorney today. Did anybody receive this query... What do they usually query about????? ( My lawyer hasn't received it yet) ...

Any body have an idea on what SESA is querying for ????

VA SESA received my labor app on 09/25/01

VA Labor Processing Status

I just called Richmond Labor Division. She told me that as of now they are processing October 2nd 2001 cases.

Things seems to be moving pretty quick!!!!
