Hi All,
My husband is a H1-B with an approved I-140 from 2007. I recently became a USC and we are now applying through family based as it is much quicker. (Also we have an approved I-130 petition with a PD of March 2005 and was applied when I had a green card)

1.)We were all ready to file, but just now my husband noticed an A number on his I-140 approval. Should this number be used while answering the questions for A# on I-485 part 1, etc when we are filing through family based?
2.) Also, from other threads in this forum we gathered that if a I-140 has been approved., we should mention this in the Part3 of I-485 where it asks about "Have you ever before applied for permanent resident status in the US" as a yes answer. Do you all agree?

We are just waiting on this to file the application. We would appreciate if someone who has been in this situation can help us. :(

Thanks a lot for your reply. SO, I have to use the A number from employment based I-140 for the following family based forms....
1)I-485
2)I-864
3)I-765
4)Mention in behind the color passport photos along with your name
Am I missing something or any other place????????

Also, we didnt have the I-140 approval when we received our I-130 approval in 2005? Do we need to do anything in relation to this??

don't forget to include with your AOS package: a copy of a notice of approval for I-130 + a copy of your naturalization certificate + a cover letter + I-693
