Hello All,

I applied for EAD and AP through my lawyer in Vermont Service Center and havent received the AP in the mail yet (as of July 17) although online approval states that the approval notice was mailed on July 3.

The lawyer did not even receive Receipt notice with the EAC number which makes me think that INS made a mistake entering the address. He had to find the EAC number from the cashed check. I am afraid that even the approved AP might have been lost in mail since its already 14 days from the approval date.

My questions are:
1. How many days does it normally take after the online approval date to receive AP in the mail.

2. If the Approval notice was somehow lost or sent back to INS due to a mistake in the address, what are my options? Do I have to re-apply or is there a way INS can send a duplicate copy of the AP or resend the approval notice.

I would appreciate any information that you guys/gals/gurus might have.

1. 14-21 days
2. No you have to call the national number(you should do it now is my advice) and ask them to correct the address and send the returned AP if any to the new address

Gcisapain:
you can update the address as Jaxen said
or wait for few days more
Did you sent approved I-140 copy with AP, EAD documents to VSC? The info is required because NSC is generating many RFE for I-140 approval copy to be sent, I have read in past that VSC has approved AP EAD renewal with out I-140 receipts only I-485 filling receipt needed. Please update for others benefit
Was it your first AP, EAD or Renewal?

Good Luck!!

Thanks for your replies.

I believe that the lawyer had sent the I140 approval copy but not sure. Also, according to the online status both AP and EAD applications were approved.

The applications were for EAD Renewal and Second AP.
