Hello. I have just received my new I797 which is till Nov2004. It has the new I94 at the bottom. It contains only LIN no. and I-94 no. My old I94 is valid till 30-Nov-2003.

Now my question is there is no date specified on my new I94. Does that means it is also valid till Nov 2004.

when do I send my passport for visa revalidation

---- the new I94 is attached to your approval notice below right side, tear it and attach it to your Passport( if you have earlier I-94 attached in Passport then both have to be attached in passport, your new I-94 has the same # as earlier I-94) your newI-94 has LIN# and date is not written on it, it is not problem all get the I-94 extended same way. Your Left side lower part has the expiry date. Make the copy of complete Approval notice (front and Back) keep the copy in your immigration file and detach the new I-94 stamp it in your passport

Does that means it is also valid till Nov 2004.
---- Yes, read the left side lower portion
when do I send my passport for visa revalidation
---- you can send your passport NOW for revalidation as your Visa stamp is going to expire November 2003

Thank You for the reply.

I am sending my wife H4 visa for renewal which is expiring on 30-Nov- 2003. I too was thinking that she doesn't need to get that but through my friends and reading some queries in this forum I came to know that I should do it. So I am doing it right away today.

Anyways we both are not planning to go out of USA, so is it ok if I send my visa validation stuff with my wife's, when she gets her H4 extended or should I go ahead and submit mine before 30-Nov 2003 ?

Thank You once again

----- if her H4 was extension was not filed with your H1 extension then she needs H4 extension for H4 status from BCIS you should mail her H4 extension application to BCIS before her I-94 expire

----- you can do what ever you like you can send your PP for visa revalidation and will get stamped in 3 months or can wait till your wife H4 extension gets approved and send both the passport and documents for Visa revalidation. H4 extension is going to take 3-4 months and depends on service center. If you send your PP now, keep copy of all the passport pages of your passport and I-94(front and back) and copy of H1 approval front and back with you, make the copy of all the I-94 9front and back) and keep in your file
