Validity of H1B stamped 2 years back

Hi,

I am currently in India. Some US based company had
filed for my H1B around 2 years back and the petition
had got approved. I had got the H1B stamping done
around 2 years back. The petition is valid from Oct
2004 till Aug 2007. But I couldn't travel on that H1B
since the company was not doing well at that time. Now
the company is doing well and they want me to join
back. My question is: Can I travel on the same H1B
that I got stamped 2 years back since the petition is
still valid and I am joining the same company.

Yes.

Provided you have a letter from your company stating the reason why you are not joining the company 2 years early and why do they need them now?.

Better the letter gets notorized in US. You may have to show at the POE.
