Vaccinations question?

This question is for people who already submit the medical exam (I-693).

You should have vaccinations for:

Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus
Diphtheria toxoids
Pertussis
Influenza type B
Hepatitis B

I got most of these vaccinations before I was 5 years old. But, I do not have any records. What will happen? The doctor will assume I have gotten them or what?

The civil surgeon will again administer those shots for you, unless you get some of them ( free of charge ) from your local county health clinic dept ( Proof needed ). But for all of these vaccination, the surgeon usually charges less than $100.

If you cannot offer proof then you will have to take the shots again (unless it is medically not appropriate).

It is not that bad. :p

What about if I am afraid of needles? Can USCIS waive this? :( :D
 
If you have already took the vaccination years ago, you need a lab procedure called “blood titter”, it’s likely that the civil surgeon might order it, to see if you have those vaccinations in your blood. Regarding, vaccination waivers yes there are…....on religious ground, it might complicate your petition…... I suggest you to take the vaccination.... there are oral vaccinations.

Thankful, Grassroot and Ddemissi: Thanks a lot for your input.

I guess I will wait and tell the doctor about my situation. If anybody is or was in my same situation (no records of vaccinations) please share. I will appreciate any additional comments, suggestions, etc.
 
Better take them again. If there is no proof, he or she must administer them again. I don't where you live, but in ca, these vaccines are costly(doctor's office), so go to your health clinic( really inexpensive there.) :)
 
blood titter is a lot of work. it is ordered in special cases(mostly). plus you are going to pay it.
