Use AP or H-1B when travel abroard?

Hi all,

A question for you guys: which is better to use when travel abroard -- AP or H-1B?
Scenario:
1. I am in the I485 stage, and also filed for my wife under my name.
2. My wife and I both have AP and EADunder my name.
3. My wife is applying for I-140 under her name through her employer now.
4. My wife is travelling back to China.

Question: which is better to use when she comes back - AP or H-1B?

Undoubtedly H1. Less hassle and she need not make her employer file I9 to honor the EAD status and thereby causing possible abandonment of 140 process (which will serve as a backup in case your 485 gets rejected or gets unduly delayed)
