I have a green card since 2002, as of today i have this status almost 7 and half years. during this period i have two re entry permit almost 4 years.
If i calculate the days i live in US less then one year for balance of the period i have permisson to stay out side the USA by re entry permit.

Last week i visited info pass and i asked i m eligble to apply US citizenship and they told me yes the system showing you are the LPR for seven years and you can apply by N400. I shocked. after that I Called USCIS and they also told me the same ? My question did re-entry permit effect the citizenship process, If not shall I apply for citizenship, If yes then why the system showing and these guys telling me i m eligble?

although i maintain the green card for seven years, i paid tax regularay, i have residense proof, bank accounts, job, lease paper, insurance everything here in US and my kids are also green card.

Eligible to apply doesn't mean you will be approved. When they answered you, they probably weren't seeing your entire travel history. And if they saw it, they don't know if you were working for the US government when abroad, or any of the other exceptions that could preserve your eligibility during long overseas trips. Calling USCIS or going for Infopass isn't necessarily going to give you an accurate answer regarding whether your application will be approved. They're going to say you're eligible to apply if you have a green card for at least 4 years and 90 days, and it will be up to the interviewer to sort out the details and make an actual decision.

As Jackolantern mentioned, they told you are eligible to apply but it doesn't mean you meet all the requirements, specifically the physical presence and continuous residence requirement. Another reason to take the information USCIS gives you over the phone with a grain of salt.;)
