US GC Holder - Work in Canada

Hi,

I'm an Indian Citizen holding US green card in skilled worker category( Senior Software Engineer).
Do i need to get a work Visa in order to work in CANADA? If yes, what is the Visa type and how long does it take to get one..

What would be the procedure to get a dependent Canadian visa for my spouse in INDIA ( She is not a green card holder).
Also please direct me to any links where i can find this information.

Your employer needs to contact HRDC to procure a work permit for you.
