I am a greencard holder and have lived here for 4 years and half, but then I had to go to the Philipines to study Nursing and got my diploma for 4 years. I applied for a re entry permit before I went to the Philippines and got a travel document (re-entry permit). Every Christmas I come back here till New Year and had to renew my re entry form and did my biometrix. Now I am back here in the US for good, am I eligible to apply for citizenship or I have to be again wait for another 5 years to apply?
