As of today (03/11/2009) my Mom has = 868 days in USA and 1021 days Outside the USA. All her outside trips are to Canada.

Do you think she has enough time in USA for Citizenship? Secondly, how does INS keep records of her trips ? Do they really know when she leaves and enter the USA ?

We really need to know this before I apply for her citizenship.

Any help would be appreciated...

No.

Do you think she has enough time in USA for Citizenship?

Why does it matter how they know? You intend to hide a few of these trips? Remember, the Canadian and US immigration agencies share a lot of information. By any chance is your mother also a Canadian PR holder or is she a citizen? Looking at her travel pattern, she has spent only 110 days in the US since April 2006. I hope that is not when she got her Maple card and moved to Canada.

Secondly, how does INS keep records of her trips ? Do they really know when she leaves and enter the USA ?

She doesn't have enough physical presence in the US and she has also broken continuous residency.

Entry/exit dates are kept in the CBP database, so yes they know when you leave and enter US.

Instead of hiding the trips ( and getting in trouble if they find out you lied ) have her stay in the US for the required ammount of time and then apply for US citizenship.

You don't risk anything by waiting the appropriate time but you will risk a-lot by hiding information from them.

just my 2 cents :-)
