US Citizenship Application with Petty Theft Infraction Charges

I was charged with Petty Theft Infraction last year and I am trying to apply for my US Citizenship. I have no other criminal record except the Petty Theft Infraction from last year. I only had to pay fine and there was no probation or any other charges. Do you think I will be okay to apply for my US Citizenship. I have been a Permanent Resident of US for last 6 years now. Also, If I apply for US Citizenship and if Immigration denies me my Citizenship at this time and asks me to wait for another 5 years, will they Deport me since they will find out about my case during my Background check in the US Citizenship application? Also, if I travel out of US, will there be any problem for me to enter back into US? Can they stop back me from entering back to US or can they Deport me out of US?

Nope, I don't have any clue about the other person with the same name.
Who is Ron Gotcher? Is he some lawyer? Is he good and reliable? What was the answer that he got from Ron Gotcher?

The info is in the link I posted.

Same charge, same username, both related to question about naturalization. Also, you posted the same question on this forum back on same day last year as on the other forum. Are you trying to hide something?

You definitely need to understand the meaning of moral turpitude:

"Phrase used in Criminal Law to describe conduct that is considered contrary to community standards of justice, honesty, or good morals".

If you are caught lying to an USCIS officer, then that offense will be much more serious than your criminal conviction. Don't even think of lying.

You think he is going to answer? You caught him perfectly. :o:o:o

Not sure why he tried to lie when his digital prints are all over. If he can lie openly here in this forum, I wonder what else is there in his closet that he may try to hide from the USCIS. Anyway, I guess either he will come open about multiple postings or change his ID to something else and keep posting.

If he

Why do you guys think, I would lie?
I didn't say, I want to lie in front of the immigration officer, of course I am going to be honest in front of him and tell him all the truth. I just wanted to ask if any one was in similar situation and if so, what would be the best way to handle this case.

What makes you guys think I am lying?

If you guys cannot help or don't want to help, at least don't taunt me on anything. Remember one thing, this could have happened to any of your family member. Mistakes tend to happen in the life, and I do admit that I have commited a mistake, but that does not mean, I am lying and I am trying to hide anything here.

Thank you all for helping me in such way. What else can I say?

By not being forthcoming with your previous posts on the same question (which were previously answered) you expect forum members to help you out anyways?

Quoting you from your own post on this very forum:

"Is there a way to expunge the record so I do not have to disclose it on my citizenship application?"

Writing NO for "have you ever been convicted..." IS lying. Why do you think it is not lying?

I don't think OP was trying to lie and get away with it. The OP was incorrectly assuming that an expunged record means you wouldn't have to disclose it on the application like under criminal law. However, immigration law requires you to disclose every conviction even if it is expunged.

Now why the OP is misleading us by not being forthcoming of his other posts is another question.
