hello all,

i am a 29 year old u.s. citizen. i had petitioned for my wife which was on a u.s. visa. so far as of right now she's on her temporary residency and filling out the paperwork for her permanent residency.

my question is, my mom lives in central america and i would like to petition for her. my mom was deported from the us for trying to come here and work illegally. so if i petition for her, will she get denied since she's been deported? or what can i do to be able to petition for her?? any help would be appreciated.

Was she actually living in the US illegally, caught and then deported? Or was she refused entry at the airport on the suspicion that she will be working here?

she was in the airport on a connecting flight to puerto rico. and she got deported from the airport back on the 1st plane back.

What is her prior history of visiting the US and Puerto Rico? Did she have a habit of spending several months every year in the US or PR? Did she ever overstay a visa? Did she ever work legally or illegally in the US or PR?

I would recommend a consultation with a qualified immigration attorney since this is a complicated case . I am not sure people on this forum have the expertise on deportation related cases.

she's had her visa for about 15 yrs i think im not sure. she's traveled once every 5-7 years or so. most of the time for about 6 months at a time. and yes she's worked b4, but this would of been her 1st time going to puerto rico.
