By this, I'm sure you're talking about asylees. I work with a few Afghans and Nepalese people who filed for asylum and got naturalized. They haven't had any issues. Unless you lied in your original application, you can toss everything out and breathe a sigh of relief. You'd be returning home upon entering the US from COP or any other country.
