My situation involves me visiting Canada for 2 months, getting married to my Canadian boyfriend during my visit (I am a US citizen) within the first week, and if anyone knows how long it takes for me to gain citizenship through my marriage to my boyfriend, what the paperwork trail involves, if I'm able to work during that time, am I able to go to school and what status would I claim, can I extend the duration of my visit in light of the fact that I just got married (I have a roundtrip ticket with a return date in November), etc. We want to be able to live together while both going to school and working, we're just unsure as to what legalities that involves for me. Also, what is sponsorship and does it apply to our situation? And additionally I would like to gain knowledge on some contact info on who my boyfriend and I can TALK to, and other than being referred to www.cic.gc.ca, which didn't provide any really useful info for our specific situation that we could find. We would greatly appreciate any information or guidance anyone can provide. Thanks
