If one is a Canadian citizen and a US citizen as well, should one use the Canadian citizenship card or passport to enter Canada? When one returns to the US, one should use the US Naturalization paper or US passport to enter, correct?

You can use a Canadian passport or a citizenship card to enter Canada. I'm expecting that since the citizenship card seems such an easily forgeable document, that rule might be tightened soon.

You must use a US Passport to enter the US. If you are driving across the border, you can use your US natz cert until January 2008. But, you should get a US passport.

You should present yourself as a Canadian citizen when entering Canada. When returning to the US, present yourself as a US citizen. I would advise passports for both sides.

I looked into this before and I'm just going to use my US passport next time I cross over. It will save me from bringing two passports with me. Theoretically if you present the Canadian one they have to let you in, while the US passport they can turn you back.

However this being Canada, they rarely ever turn someone back unless they find something on you. If you want you could just carry your US passport and Canadian Birth Certificate if you wanted to this way you can prove you were born there if there is any issues...

The Canadian Citizenship card is easy to carry. It is more "valid" than just a birth cert.

Yeah I didn't realize that's what they had. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Canadian Citizenship card. Either way, I wouldn't bring both passports...
