all young men aged between 18 and 25 are affected by the U.S. military on Form DS-230 "I Understand That completion of this form by persons required by law to register with the Selective Service System (male 18-through 25 years of age ) constituting Such registration in Accordance with the Military Selective Service Act "
Is it obligatary or no??
We want go from the United States to live a better life not to pass the military service!!!:confused:
 
Registering is mandatory, military service is not.
Punishment for not registering is not severe - ineligibility for naturalization until age 31.
However, if you naturalize, service could be mandatory if needed.
 
Failure to register makes it so you can't get most money for school and can make it so you are not allowed to get your citizenship. Registering means if they start drafting people for military service you might get called up. The last time the drafted people for the military was in 1974 the US people don't like the idea of a draft for miltary service
 
there are enough volonteers to serve in US Military services for good benefits...so do not worry about being drafted against your will...:):):)
