URGENT QUESTION!!! I'm here-Spouse abroad

Hi everyone,
I am a DV2009 winner (AF27xxx)... I live in the US on an F1 status, and my husband is abroad... I am choosing to apply for AOS and he will have to do CP.
Has anyone been in my situation? how long does it take for the USCIS to notify the consulate abroad? how long before you got approved and your spouse to get approved?

Have you sent the forms? If you have, you should be getting another NL from KCC about AOS soon. In that NL, they will tell you what to do if you're doing AOS while your other family members has to do CP.

Basically, once you sucesfully got the interview, you need to notify the U.S consulate/embassy where your husband is as soon as possible so your husband can get an interview date.

You should both do CP. AOS is very slow and flaky.

The problem is that me and my husband are of 2 different nationalities, so for him to do CP with me he'd need to get a visa to get into my country, which might not be easy, and he might miss the interview if it was given on a relatively short notice.

Has anyone from previous DV winners been in my situation? if so how much time between your interview for AOS, and your spouse's CP?
