URGENT PLEASE RESPOND - Advanced Degree exemption Query

I completed my MS in Computer Science from US around 6 years back, was on OPT for a year & thereafter moved out of US and came back to my home town. Have been working here for 6 years now in the software field & have now applied for H1B under masters Quota. Was wondering if I am eligible to apply under this quota as I am neither a fresh masters graduate nor have any status in the US. Also, my lawyer has only filled out the I-129 form. Is there any special form that needs to be filled out to be considered for Master's quota?

Further, I have applied for H1 B under Masters Quota Premium Processing on 03Apr07, however no response yet. Do I still stand a chance as people who have applied on the 9Apr07 have already received their approvals???

You are definitely eligible for US Masters quota irrespective of your year of passing.

Here is the question, did your attorney filed the papers properly?
If your answer is yes, you must have got your receipt by this time. Even if you have not received the receipt and your papers a re already with USCIS, you have chance. But make sure your company has filed your h1, becasue several cases either company or attorneys never filed papers but candidates were told the papers are already with USCIS.

Thanks a million for responding...by the way, have recd my registration receipt yesterday after 4 long weeks of wait, application sent on 02Apr07, however still waiting & praying for the approval notification. :rolleyes:
