I need to travel to India immediately.I have AP and my H visa has expired.
-Do I need Transit visa to go via any eurpean countries? where can i find more info. on this transit visa rules?
-My A# is wrong on the AP document.
(one digit typo) will this cause any problems?

For Travel through London and if you connecting flight is within 24 hours, you don't need transit visa for Indian nationals.

For travel through Germany, you NEED trasit visa if you have expired visa in the passport eventhough you have AP for Indian nationals.

I know for sure about these countries, since I had problem with Lufthansa and travelled by British Airways to India.

I think you can travel with AP thorugh France. But I am not 100% sure.

Generally AP is enough to travel through any european country (france was the only one giving trouble). However in doubtful cases a transit visa will fix the problem.
An error in A# is risky. You need to fix that anyway before leaving US. Go to local BCIS office and try to fix it. Contrary to popular belief AP is not taboo for transit thru germany.
