Hi All,
I am a F2 visa holder residing in US. I have to travel to India on a personal emergency, but my visa is expiring on 25th Dec 2005. I have a few questions and would greatly greatly appreciate any replys... Thanks in advance:
1) Can I go and come back say around 20th Dec. My husband's school has agreed to give a special letter saying that he is maintaining full time status and our I-20 is valid until 2007. I don't know if I would be taking any risk in coming back with a visa that expires in a couple of days after my re-entry.
2) Regarding visa renewal, Chennai consulate is pretty booked until march2006. I cannot stay until then. Can I go to the US consulate office in Calcutta? I was originally issued a visa in Calcutta.
I have to leave in a day or two and appreciate any quick responses.
