Hi,

I just got returned from a trip abroad on advance Parole. Now I have to go out again.

Do I have to surrender my I-94? The INS Agent who let me in on AP said I have to keep my I-94 when I go out next time but what should I do if the airline company asks for i-94 when boarding flight?

Thanks

Did you show I-485 receipt along with AP while reentering US? Did they ask for it? Appreciate your reply.

No sweat! Make a copy of your I-94 just in case the airline wants you to surrender the I-94. Show your valid AP on your return to the U.S. I believe they will issue a new I-94.

I traveled with AP and the officer never asked any I-485 receipt. They only verified the information on the computer and put the stamp on my AP.

Once you go out of US the previous I94 is no longer valid. You should be able to get a new I94 stamped by showing the AP (not the old I94 or copy)
I94 is primarily used to track your entry and exit.
