since the VFS website asks for one of the documentation as "principal application h1 visa stamp copy",
My H1B stamp is expired. So when my wife goes for H4 stamping in mumbai, I hope consular office doesn not send her back for this!!!. I just need to know if this WILL cause a problem? anybody else been in this situation and got their H4 stamped...pls help!

I'm also in the same boat.One of my friend got her visa stamped last year inspite of her husband being unstamped for h1b.This happened in chennai consulate.So I hope this should not be a issue.you can go to murthy.com and read more experiences.
