URGENT!! from Employment Based to Immediate Relative

I filled I-140 (approved) under EB category in 11/2006, present status is I-485 'pending'. However, I am thinking to switch on IR-1 category to avoid further delays.
Please assist how to proceed filing I-130 through citizen spouse (married for 5 years now).
Will I get any benefit in terms of getting GC faster than my existing status?
After filling I-130 under Category IR-1,
1-What would be the status of my existing 485?
2-How this new filling will affect my present EAD?
3-What will I need to continue my job with present employer?
4-Upon approval of I-130, will I be required to file a new 485? If so, will my present 485 be revoked/voided?

My main concerns are:
How to process the transition from I-140(Cat. EB2) to I-130(Cat. IR1)?
How can I continue working for the same employer during the transition?

A1: It will still be pending until it is approved or it will be null and void if your spouse based I-485 is approved.
A2: Nothing. That will be valid as long as your employment based I-485 is pending. You may also apply for a fresh EAD using your spouse based I-485.
A3: An EAD
A4: You submit your I-130/I-485 as a combo application.

Does this means when I file I-485 concurrent or after Notice of approval, it wont affect my work status at all
