I had a gap in pay for 2 months in 2002 and got H1B w/o I94, went to Canada got H1B stamped and got a white I94 card.
----------- you get H1 visa stamp from Canada after you were out of status for 2 months and got I-94 when entred US from Canada, now the Visa stamp is expired and your I-94 is also expired, if you filed I-485 Before your I-94 expired i dont see problem because you have I-485 pending and Valid AP in hand
