URGENT:Can I start to work in US without EAD?Am on L2 and got SSN

Did you get any answer to your questions. i also want to know that can one work without EAD and with SSN which says "Authorized to work with DHS AUthorization" ???

L2 folks are authorized to work. Post this question under L visa section.Hi,
Am on L2 and availed SSN written as ' VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION'.
Does this mean that I can start working without EAD or is it that I still need to avail EAD?

L2 folks are authorized to work. Post this question under L visa section.
L2 folks are not authorized to work, they are authorized to apply for work authorization. Meaning you still need to apply for an EAD, and have to have it in hand before you can start working.

Actually is only restricted to L1's spouses.
Spouse of an L-1 Intracompany Transferee--(a)(18). File your EAD application with evidence ofyour lawful status and evidence you are a spouse of a principal L-1, such as your I-94. (Other relatives or dependents of L-1 aliens who are in L status are not eligible for employment authorization and may not file under this category.)
