Have submitted form 230 for my wife and I, my wife got a new job that we are deciding that she joins me later.
in this case do I need to update KCC that my wife will join me later. If yes must my wife go to interview with me, paying fee of 330$, medical examination and police clearance or at a later time?

What do you mean with "join you later". She needs fly into the U.S. within 6 month after she got her visa.

I think you are talking about follow to join.

Just a suggestion. If she attended the interview with you she would get her stamp. She could fly to the States to activate her GC and spend a little time there. If the job is important enough to be apart from you, she could then return to your home country for up to 12 months and then come back to the USA later. If that helps you financially it might be a good idea, but also being apart for all that time might be tough....

Am talking of a situation where I will have to attend d interview alone in EU while she does hers later in Africa, maybe by follow to join option or filling for her later when am in d states .

Definitely do follow to join rather than filing when you are there, it will be faster. But with follow to join she will still (1) have to get her visa by Sept 30 2014 and (2) still have to enter within 6 months of receiving that visa, so this may not suit your plans.

Thanks a lot but do I need to notify KCC because my 2nl will be inviting her and myself to an interview and is only me that will attend d interview in EU.

As nice and convenient as the follow to join option may sound, I would be very careful with opting for it at this stage if I was in your shoes, especially considering that your NL should be arriving any time soon. If you hadn't already sent in your papers and KCC was yet to process them, it could have been a viable option to pursue since you're fortunate to have a low CN. Follow to join is a very stressful option for a time sensitive application such as a DV lottery visa.

If that is an option you want to explore, you will need to notify KCC of this change. You can't just show up alone for your interview and now tell them your wife will be doing follow to join. Be aware that you may need to do a lot of follow ups following your own interview to ensure your file gets sent back to Nigeria if you do follow to join, and there's no telling how long it might take before the file get's sent or when your wife gets scheduled for an interview in Nigeria.

My suggestion to you would be to proceed as planned, get your wife to join you in Germany for the interview (or where you the one flying down to Nigeria for the interview)? Anyway, proceed as planned and attend the interview together. Following a successful interview, come into the US together to activate your LPR status, apply for a re-entry permit (wait and do the biometric for the re-entry permit) then she can go back to Nigeria and work for this employer for upto 2 years without jeopardizing her LPR status. Of course you don't have to do follow this suggestion, but this is what I would do if I was in your shoes.

Have called KCC on different occasions telling them of d situation, d ladies said I should notify d CO at the interview, but am afraid having 2 people in d invitation letter only for one person to show up...as a result I decided to write them in order to have written reply from them but no response yet

But if I have to fly my wife here, she will only come with visiting visa, as such is she eligible to be issued with USA visa in Germany since she does not have residence permit in Germany.

You will have a solid story to support your decision, right? They are not monsters at the US embassy. They will see the logic and will understand.

I see your point. The alternative of course would have been for your to fly down to Nigeria.

Anyway I guess with the point you've raised, you'll just have to explain your situation to the CO at the time of the interview as to why you're showing up alone without your wife and request for them to forward your file to Nigeria once you're done. You may need to constantly follow up with both consulates to ensure the file is transferred and received and that your wife gets called for the interview.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot...Sm1smom, did you see my private message?
