All,
you could schedule for your biometrics by calling the number on your 485 receipt till last week. I did the same and completed my biometrics. I did receive an appointment notice the following week though for biometrics. I took that letter as well, just in case.
What I heard from my lawyer is that this was a pilot (where they allowed people to call in and schedule) but please double-check by calling the number.
Also, I gave the finger prints on 10/21 and then I have seen LUDs on my 485 application, one on 10/21 and the other on 10/24. I dont know if they are related though. I dont see any change in content on the status screens.

Guys: This update is quite unfortunate for me it seems. Have not been able to talk to my laywer but my HR rep did. Now she has no idea what he told her..went over her head. I think what she gathered is that USCIS is telling my lawyer to convert the case from EB2 to EB3. Not sure why 
Here is my Q. Will they expect us to re-file or do they just convert from EB2 to EB3? We barely made the dates to file concurrently. If they ask us to re-file, me and my wife shall not be able to get benefits of EAD/AP and that would be such an unfortunate thing. I shall talk to the lawyer on Thursday where he is going to explain things to me.
Until then I am worries...will I have to re-file and loose 485 benefits? Or does USCIS simply convert EB2 to EB3?
To add salt to the wounds, just got an email from USCIS that my EAD has been approved and cards shall be mailed out soon, when ready. If my EB2 is not converted to EB3 and 485 needs to be refiled..it would be quite unfortunate..having received cards which are useless!
Does anyone have any info on above?

I called VSC today to check about my application. After waiting on hold for about 35 minutes I got to talk to an agent. I told her my I-140, 485 was delivered to VSC on Sept 30 and I did not receive any receipts yet. She asked me my name and date of brith and told me the shocking news that they do not have any entry of my application received in their computer system. She asked me if my checks were cleared, I told my attorney used his checks so I don't know. So she asked me to get that info from attorney.
If my name is not found in their system, does it mean that my application hasn't reached them yet and I don't qualify for pre retorgression benefits ?

United nations gived paid support on these RFE issues on I140 and if he thinks he can help you, you will be all set. Ask the attorney a copy of the RFE issued on this so that u can have your own interpretation done for the issue and can find a solution yourself. I think the first step is to get a copy of the RFE for yourself and dig from there

Don't worry too much at this point because we don't know the facts yet. Their answering reps are so not that perfect. But meanwhile why don't u ask the attorney to check more on your case and ask him clearly if the checks made on your filing were cashed since you are concerned at this point ?DSLstart said:I called VSC today to check about my application. If checks are cashed yet, how come your 140 has RD & ND? Did you get the Recipt for your 140? Was yours EB1 /Eb2? a bit confusing.

They were saying if checks are not cashed they can not be verified against their system. Moreover I have this feeling if you are not living in the Service center area though your employer is located in VSC area, they are taking more time to process. Though the reason does not seem to be understood. Infact one interesting post by "GCnotGreen" saying he got bio metric notice with WAC-XX recipt number, since he lives in California area though he applied in VSC, got my attention. He was even saying his did not receive RD at all. May be his case can give us some answers, if he would like to share his info. Looks like he is busy with his own issues.
Cool, that is good news. I have no way of finding the checks got cashed or not as the attorney is not going to let me know once the checks are cashed. I guess I will have to wait until you guys get your receipts and then ask the attorney about the receipts saying others got it.floyd777 said:
