I received F1 visa a few weeks ago for Univ A for Spring 2005 issued by US consulate in India.
Now I have received I-20 from Univ B for Spring 2005. Field of study is same for both Univ.

I plan on visiting US consulate in India to change F1 visa from Univ A to Univ B.
Q: Will this be considered a fresh application?
Q: Can they deny me visa for new Univ?
Q: If they deny visa for Univ B, will the visa for Univ A still be valid?

If anybody went through the experience of change in Univ as above please share.

Thanks in advance.

yes

yes

no, if they cancel it

The smartest thing to do is to stick with Visa A. If you reallly want to go to Visa B then call up the embassy and explain your situation to them see what they can advise you in that matter.
