Hi!

My interview probably won't be scheduled before next April, but I just have few thing I'm uncertain about.
1. I've sent the original forms of the 1st package back to KCC so fast I didn't make any copies--how big of a problem is this, and if it is, what should I do about it?
2. I graduated from an American university, so translation of my diploma isn't an issue. Maybe it's a silly question, but do I still need to bring high school diploma too and its translation?
3. Will I need to, in every case, provide proof that I paid taxes when I was in the US? (I promise I did ;) )
4. Did I have to write my permanent address in the US (even though I obviously couldn't know that living abroad) or where I intend to live? Can I email them an address now so they can fix my application or can I give them that address at the interview?

1. I do not think it is that much of a deal. I had copies, but was not asked for them.
The good thing ( but stressful ) of having copies is that you can check what you wrote and possibly send a corrected version to the KCC.

2. If you mean you got a degree higher than the HS from a US university, yes, I would recommend that you bring it.
Officially, the DV requirement is HS diploma ( or its equivalent ). Higher education is a plus, of course, but is not required.
I acknowledge that to get a MS, PhD, MBA... you need to have a HS first. But the list of documents says " HS diploma", so why not bring it since you have one ?
( I would recomment to bring higher education proofs has it somewhat helps in finding a job, thus, plays some part in the evidence of support. And also, since you were a student in the US, the IO will probably want to look at it too )

3. The list of required documents doesn't ask for proofs of filing tax returns.
However, it might be a good idea to have them. I wasn't asked for them, but based on my readings from multiple forums, a lot of people on H1B visas were asked for them ( maybe because they work on H1b, when on F1, work is very limited )
You can get a transcript of your tax returns for free ( not free for an actual copy of what you sent ) by calling the IRS.

you don't have to have an address where you will live, but you have to give them an address where your GC will be sent. You should have this address by your interview date.
 
Thanks, LucyMO! Yes, I did give them the address where they can send my GC card, that wasn't a problem, I just wasn't sure about the permanent one. Thanks a ton! :))
