Hi,

So I have been living with my husband for close to a year now. I moved in his house (which he is able to provide his ownership of the property) last year in April. My expired license (I cannot renew my license due to the fact that I was pending change of status for a while and in my state, I can't renew it until i have "a status") does show his address, but it is expired. This is not the biggest problem. My husband is in the military so he moves every few years. Hence, he registered his license, his credit card billing address all in his parents' address (which is currently in the same city as us). I saw a lot posting about submitting all copies of both parties licenses showing the same address. So now we don't have that.

Speaking of bills, all of the bills were under his name because it is his house, and we just got married. I am afraid that I couldn't get any changed and received a new bill under my name in short amount of time before I planned on submitting everything next week.

So what should I do?

We do have a joint account that was opened at the beginning of this year when we planned on getting married and we started to use it to pay our bills together. But by far that's the only thing that we have as a common property.

I would have been able to be on his insurance (another proof of our marriage is real), but things got complicated. For getting the military dependent ID (which is like something we have to do before he puts me on his insurance) they require 2 forms of current ID WHICH I DO NOT HAVE (UGHHHHH)... my license is expired as I mentioned... so i only have my passport and they wont add me into the system because I only have 1 form of ID. and so I have to get at least my EAD before i can renew my license to get a military dependent ID to be on his insurance where my name also will be on his life insurance...

So any advice for me??

Sorry for writing this long.. and thank you for your time reading it!!

You both need to work on getting more proof of financial cohabitation. Utility bills, credit cards, etc. He needs to add you to whatever accounts/cards he has. USCIS puts a lot of emphasis on financial documents showing cohabitation.

So what should I do?

So any advice for me??
