My Lawyer made a typo while filling up the EAD, AP and I-485 forms for my wife. Her Gender was stated as Male which should be female. Recently we have received approved EAD card which have the same incorret information. As she is not working we are not much worried about the EAD Card. Now her 485 form also have the same Typo. We have not yet received the Finger print notice etc. How this is going to affect the case. Will USCIS be having some problem while checking information about my wife etc.( because of incorrect Gender information) . Do we need to get it corrected as soon as possible, or this can be done at a Later stage ?????

Also if we need to get it corrected what will be the process.

Any help / suggestion will be greatly appreciated .

TIA

I did checked with the lawyer he was saying this kind of infoemation can be corrected at the final appearence for I-485, and it wont have any implication on the I-485 processing as the photo etc sent along with the form shows the correct information. Not sure... Did anyone have some experience with this kind of situation ????

Any Suggestions / Advice ????

TIA

---- you have paid the fees to lawyer, ask him to update the USCIS with her I-485 reciept copy so that USCIS correct it on existing I-485 form and ask for the copy of that letter that he sends to USCIS and keep it for your records. ask him that you WANT it corrected NOW on the pending I-485 becase with your wife incorrect info the FBI is going to check the back ground according to the name, dob, gender . request the lawyer that you dont want to delay and want to update the USCIS so that her record in USCIS computer system is correct
TIA
