1. Got my passport stamped. Is the receipt# of I-485 same as I-551 to check its status?

2. Do I need Canadian visa to travel to Canada even though my passport is stamped?

Unless you got your I-485 approved after an interview at a local office, then yes you should be able to track your card using the I-485 Receipt #. If you get a I-181 receipt in the mail, then use that receipt number.

2. You dont need a Canadian Visa.
