TSC May Tracker

Some more info.

I got a call from my lawyer just now and she has received 2 receipts from INS. I-131 receipt for me & my wife. Being a big law firm, she couldn\'t check whether the checks were encashed. There is a separate Accounting dept. which hasn\'t received the cancelled checks yet. (I wish I had written those checks; at least I could have found out from i-banking whether checks were encashed)

I had my lawyer fax me 2 receipts right away and guess what , I found one more frustrating thing. Although my lawyer had sent FEDEX packet on 05/03, RD is 07/19 and ND is 07/20 !@#$%^&* TSC !@#$%$%^#@.

I hope at least these a\'holes put RD close to 05/03 for EAD & 485.

TSC SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

desi2001,
did u\'r lawyer sent 2 checks for one for u and one for u\'r wife ($440 each) or 6 seperate checks. If he sent 1 check for each that means every thing got cahsed and u might be receiving rest of the receipts soon. Please let me know how he did it.
Thanks

Finally Receipt Notice -- After 3 months

FYI I rcvd my 485 Receipt Notice RD May 11, ND July 30. It looks like the new contracting company at INS is making some progress. Good luck to all thw waiters...

Sent email to Douglas Stump

There was a good thread started by immigrant88 on contacting Douglas Stump who is the AILA representative for TSC and acts in a liaison role. That thread has vanished into thin air also. I sent him an email yesterday. No replies as of yet. If all of us could spare a couple of minutes and send him an email explaining the slow pace of 485 at TSC it would go a long way and eventually speed up things. Here is what I sent him.

Subject: TSC 485 Issues

Hello,
I would like to mention a couple of issues regarding I-485 processing at the TSC. My understanding is that both of you act as the liaisons/representatives on behalf of AILA and would be the proper channel for us to contact and represent our issue/concerns with TSC.

1. My 485 Adjustment of Status was filed first week of May,2001. Its been more than 3 months and I have not even received my receipt notices for EAD,Advance Parole and 485 filing. Kindly let me know in what basis/order does TSC sort their mails and prioritize cases. If they are doing it in some random order then the whole immigration process of first-in first-out is in serious jeopardy.

2. Why does 485 processing time in TSC take so long compared to other service centers? Its been dead in its tracks with July 99 processing date for as long as I can remember, whereas people who have filed as late as Jan 2001 at VSC have got their final approval notices. What is AILA doing as liaisons to speed up this process and address our concerns to the proper authorities at TSC?

Finally I would like to thank both of you for taking some of your precious time in reading this email. I hope you will be kind enough to present the issues to the proper personnel at TSC and seek out proper remedies which are very much needed given the pace with which things have been moving. Thanks for your valuable time and effort.
