More Apr and May Approvals

I tried to scan SRC03068,069 and there are lots of Approvals for April and May and April Count Overtook March count,,, and unfortunately i cant save the file

and also it looked like i got denied message after a hudered i think(and there are about 30 to 50 approvals...
 
100 or 200 is the new limit

Those who have been scanning recently must have noticed that USCIS has
decreased the limit from 1000 to 100 or 200.
and the stupid " denied too many queries" message shows up.

One another thing I have noticed it you don't have to wait for 24 hours before
you re-start scanning. I believe give it hour or 2 and you can start rescanning.

This change defeats our consolidated file project.
please propose your ideas/suggestions here.
how do we solve this ? hack ??

my suggestion -
Use a fixed cell in the Charts sheet to give the next number to be rescanned.
so The macro 'MultiScan' always uses this cell to start scanning . After it hits "denied too many queries" replace the SRC in the fixed cell with this number. Then I give abt 1-2 hour and start rescanning again and same process repeated again.
This goes on until I get bored and post the file back in the thread.
And the next person can use the same SRC from the fixed cell or he can always change the SRC from fixed cell manually.
This way, I can't scan 990 at a stretch but however many in batches of 100-200 in longer time without hvg to remember the last SRC scanned.

Few more things, we will need more volunteers too. Also if split the file, 2-3 people will be working on yearly cons that way.

Does it work this way?

Every registered USCIS user can list up to 100 cases in his/her portfolio. This means every of us can get the status of 100 cases. Just need to distribute the cases and find one to collect all the results everyday.

The limit of 250 is a huge setback for all of us.
For now, I am posting ver 333, it includes picsarus' 02-141 and rescans from 03-020 to 03-053.
Next person take it from 03-054
Most Important change in here is by Pradha. I had put my suggestion in earlier posting and he has implemented it. the MultiScan macro stores the last number scanned, so the next person to scan will have an opportunity to start the multiscan from where I left at.


Any other suggestions/design are welcome.
Total approvals for April is 2133. still lot of 03 sheets to be rescanned.
 
Just a suggestion:

I think you may have to get a bit more sophisticated.... Maybe a parallel/round robin P2P software system running on members computers (those that have DSL/cable) and controlled by a master computer to do auto-scanning all day on a round-robin basis using all CPUs and IP addresses.

Or maybe some IP spoofing trick..... though I'm not sure of a good way.
 
Suggestion: Not sure how much effort it will take:

We already have SRC numbers listed in the excel sheet for only those cases which are I-485 related.

My idea is to scan only those cases which are I-485 related - this should save most of the time.

Along with the above we can add other suggestions like: round-robin basis using all CPUs and IP addresses, etc to maximize output.

Groan, how feasible is this round robin P2P way ?
as per IP spoofing, if you goto my 1st message in this thread, I have listed a URL which gives a list of proxies. Use any one of the Transparent and SSL supported ones. I usually use the US or EDU proxy or Bess proxy.
Using proxies is of course lot slower than your regular.
Remember then that all your internet accesses then are thru this proxy, so
don't login to any of your e-mail/bank accounts while you are using this proxy.
Usually if i have to use my computer while this scanning is going on, I use my other browser - Mozilla which does not use the proxy on Internet explorer.
Let me know if you or anyone else need any help on this topic.

By the way, for me I don't have to wait for 24 hours, probably 3-4 hours and I can start scanning again after i hit the 'Denied message'

The approval count is dramatically low in May. I heard they would start to process working permit applications of Mexicans in May. Is this the reason?

leeya , the approval count for may is low because most days have not been scanned as yet. We need more people to rescan. can you help us lot as well ?

If you goto the 1st page of this thread, you will find the instructions.
since you want to a rescan , download the last zip version file in this version 338.
and follow the instructions they are in the 1st two posts.

it is a huge file ( 2mb zipped) but soon it will be split into 4 or 5 parts.

this file is using excel XP (2002), few people have had problems saving it when they have excel 2000.

April Count is 2307 easily beating March count.

Next person please start from 03-077.

May approval count is 166.

I have removed the counts sheet so we are under 2 MB
