I and my wife want to travel to Cnanda in September 2007 to apply for stamping of our H-1B US visa. 
My Ds-2019 runs out on 8/31/2007 beyond which I have a 30 day grace period till 9/30/2007.
Q: will I be able to extend/ or apply for a new canadain visitor visa just on the basis of applying for a US visa in Canada??.
PS: My current candian visitor visa expires on 8/15/2007.
