My Wife recently got her EAD card. Her AP is also approved and we should be receiving it soon.

Now, she plans to go to India for a short while - 4-5 months. Can we work in India during this time (she is actually getting a transfer through her employer here to their India office)? After 4-5 months she would probably quit in India and return to the US?

Does all this jeopardize the pending I-485 application (applied through me) in any way?

Is it true that once you submit your I-94 card while departing (while I-485 is in progress) you GC is considered abondoned?

It shouldn't.

Of course not. Plenty of people depart the US and turn in an I-94 while their I-485 is pending.
