Travelling while 8th year H1B extension is filed

Hello,

I am in my 7th year of H1B based on pending labor and I have visa stamped on my passport for this 7th year approval.
This visa and 7th yr. approval both are valid untill end of January, 2007.

My employer is planning to apply for my 8th year extension end of this month.

I need to travel outside the country on business for two weeks next month.

Now my question is:

Is it ok to travel outside the country when my 8th year extension is filed and waiting for the approval to come?
(Yes, I will have my valid 7th year I-797 and valid visa stamping on my passport on my return.)

Yes you can go out and come back as long as your visa stamping in your pp is valid. Renewal of visa will not affect your travel.
