Travelling to US--H1 validity-urgent

I have valid H1 visa and am in India at the moment. My H1 visa stamp expires on 11/29/2003.

I have H1 extended to July 2006. I will be travelling back on 11/05/2003. Will there be any problem. One of my friend told me you cannot travel unless your visa stamp is valid for at least 6 months.

Any suggestions/experience in similar cases is appreciated

-- no problem, you can come into US, show the new approval notice and get the I94 till the validity date

There should be no problem as long as your current H1 stamp is valid.
Having an extension is a plus.

Show your Passport Visa stamp AND new H1 approval also at POE, so that you can get I-94 valid till your H1B approval notice
