My school International Students Office (ISO) made a mistake on my status, leading to which I am currently out of status. School has said they are working on gettin me reinstated and that there is a new procedure set up by the INS for reinstatement caused by technicalities.
I am travelling to India in 20 days and the ISO said that travelling would be fine because if my I20 does not arrive by then they will issue a letter stating I am a current student and should be allowed to reenter the US.
Has anyone faced a similar problem? Please let me know
