Traveling from USA to Canada with greencard and no passport.

Has anyone traveled recently from USA to Canada by car/road with just their greencard and no passport?
How was your experience?

It is unlikely you will find many people with experience of that. What I can tell you is that, according to the regulations, your plan is fine.

Not recently, but every time I went to Canada when I was an LPR (between 2005 and 2011) was by road, and every time I only showed my GC on both sides. The Canadians just scanned and asked basic questions. The Americans often asked if I had a passport, for some reason. But, there were no real issues.
