Travel without H1 Approval Document

Can somebody please help me? I have a valid/unexpired H1 visa stamp from my previous company. I joined this new company a few months back and my H1 applied through regular processing will take a few more months from now to complete processing.

This leaves me with only the salary slips and a letter from my current company without any H1 approval. Does this present issues for travel out of US and coming back?

Anybody's previous experience in this situation will also help.

*** Go to BCIS online status if past employer has not cancelled/ revoked H1 petition, past employer cannot revoke the Visa stamp
